Unlock towns or outposts for map travel
It would be nice to have some feature to open places in the game.
Throw some combination of requirements on it of course.
Necesary Requirements to prevent most advantages:
Must be level 20
Must have been there on another character
Must have campaign completed on one character to unlock for that campaign
Must have 10k Luxon/Kurzick faction to unlock Luxon/Kurzick towns
Other possible requirements or ways to make it fair:
Make it in the form of a Tome, like Skills
Only towns, only outposts, only mission towns/outposts, maybe
Make it cost 5k(or more) or some level of faction
Tie it to some rank title (i.e. Sunspear, etc)
Or maybe just unlock unvisited places for that one character in that campaign when you complete that campaign.
Advantages in most cases would be nill as most things could not be done without doing questing anyways.
The main benefits I see are:
Getting certain Armors or other crafted things a little easier.
Doing Protector titles a little easier/faster
Make capping skills a little easier/faster
Make Mapping title a little easier
Cut down on a little grind
Encourage people to try new character classes (less grind)
Provide a new gold sink
The bad side:
Probably a dozen quests that might be made way too easy, but the cost would far out weigh the gains.
Long time players may think it is unfair
People will say I'm being lazy

Even if this allows you to 'fast-go' to Prestige armor sets... you still have to GET the cash for them.
Normal sets are not a problem, thanks to GW:EN and Factions, anyone can get a max set really soon.
.In my case I would require:
*To unlock the feature for the account:
- Hard Mode unlocked for the campaign.
- ALL outposts unlocked in that campaign in a character that has beaten the campaign. ALL OF THEM. EVERY-SINGLE-ONE.
*Requirements for the character that want to access the unlocked outposts:
- Level 20 reached.
- Port Town of that campaign reached.
- Luxon outposts locked until the character gets to Cavalon..
- Kurzick outposts locked until the character gets to House Zo Heltzer.
- Desolation outposts locked until the character gets the Junundu.
- Elite outposts locked until beating the campaign.
Adittionaly, I would require the missions to be made in order, just like in Nightfall, by making primary missions and stating by talking to an NPC. So characters would be able to go to the Crystal desert, but to ascend they would have to make the missions either form The Wall or from D'Alessio seaboard (depending of bein foreign or native)
Go everywhere, but make the plot in order.

I think it would be cool not to have to do all pve again if you have become lvl20 and completed the game one time already, you just need to balance that for Fed-Ex quest.

Well this is completely /notsigned by me.
So...you complete nightfall...unlock Gate of Anguish, make a monk in Cantha, level to 20, zone to GoA...precisely how wouls such a thing be fair?
If you're *that* desperate you can get ran most places in Prophecies, but I for one am glad there are locked gates in Cantha and Elona...not because I think it would be unfair that new players could miss out a chunk of the storyline, but just because what's the point in buying this game if you want to miss out on most of it just to get quick titles and places to farm?
I suppose if it were to be implemented the tome idea would be the best. Maybe sold at the Rare Scroll Trader, a scroll or a tome costing 25-50k, fixed price, and doesn't drop from monsters, to try to discourage people from going to a town they haven't yet "unlocked". But really, I'm not in favour.
Poll Added .

You still need to finish Abaddon's Gate to get there. And to get to RoT, you need to finish Ruins of Morah. And to finish Ruins, you need a quest for that. So no, there would be no such thing as teleporting from Kamadan to gate of angusih in 20 seconds.

People could also join others in their missions, but, like in EotN qusts, you won't get the mission done unless you have made the previous missions and primary quests required in order.
This won't be a problem in things like the alternate Nightfall missions. Since when you have to choose from two, once you make one of them the other one becomes available, regardless of missions done.

Ok...so you get one character through the game and unlock GoA...it's basically an outpost just like any other...level a survivor character to 20 in Cantha nice and fast, zone to GoA...finish LS in a couple of hours.
Ok ok...so GoA requires that you beat Abaddon...Oh look! You can zone to Abaddon's Gate (an outpost, like any other), kill him, then toddle over to the GoA...
I mean, come on guys, I know the game is easy enough and all these days, weapons / items are cheaper than they've ever been, but does it REALLY need to be made easier? I really, fundamentally, don't agree with that. People need to learn that they sometimes have to wait for / work at getting the good stuff and not just level to 20, zone to the final mission and shout "lulz I'm endgame!!!!!".

I refuse to sign anything or have anything implemented that makes the already 1-2-3 button mash PvE world any form of easier.

I figure since this is a game and all, it should be -played- through. If people have a lot of characters and don't want to bother playing through the game to accomplish what they want, then they should just stick to one character so they don't have to do that.
Plus the idea of botters getting to farming locations faster with little to no trouble, in my opinion, is not good.

PvE is all about playing the storyline. No reason to ruin all that just so you can get allready easy-to-get titles faster. Previous posts have summed up the arguments nice enough

How about "Portal Scrolls"? Here's the idea:
These are droppable items like tomes that have a single use, they drop only in hard mode. The names would be like Portal Scroll to <Insert outpost here>, Elite Portal Scrolls version teleport you to missions.
They would be price driven by players, not available from any npc. Could be a new money sink

I understand that some people want to have things easier for titles, but what does that do to the title anyways. After the double LB/SS weekend a few weeks ago, both of those titles are worthless to have. Pretty soon everyone will have GWAMM due to making all the titles easier to get. <sarcasm>Can I buy fame in the online store or buy fame tomes to get R12 easier?</sarcasm>

We could also go this way:
1- Buy GW
2- Install on PC
3- Launch and log in for the first time
4- All elite and non-elite skill available
5- All town and outpost unlock
6- Full 25 page storage full of ectos, green and gold max really rare items, 999,999,999 gold in storage.
7- All tittles already maxed out
Yeah... this will definitively make GW better...

rly great idea
lets make tomes for PvE skills while we're at it
so we get lvl 3 ursans too!

only if the player has completed that game should they get all the outposts automaticly unlocked if you ask me.
There are some areas in NF that have outposts that you dont go to unless you are farming there or something but i think that would make things nicer on characters
